  Wairoa Hut via the Left Branch Wairoa River.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Day 2:</s
 trong> Climb up past Bushy Top, Tarn Hut, Bishops Cap and Purple Top to Rin
 toul Hut.</p><p><strong>Day 3:</strong> Traverse the two peaks of Mt Rintou
 l and follow the ridges over Old Man to Slaty Hut.</p><p><strong>Day 4:</st
 rong> Continue mostly on ridges to Starveall Hut then descend down to the H
 ackett.</p><p><em>Tents will need to be carried and will be dependent on wa
