Circuit of Hellfire, Misery and Branch streams and river, and out via Le es Creek.

[This trip befor e Christmas was cancelled due to lack of support, so let's try again.]
< p>Day 1: Cross Wairau River via the bridge to the Less Creek Track. Once ov er the bridge turn left crossing the flats to Hellfire Stream. Follow the s tream to the tarn at the head of the valley at 1700m, and our campsite.Day 2: Climb out of the basin and into Misery Stream coming to the Top M isery Hut. Continue along a track down the Misery, and then into Branch Riv er where the Bottom Misery Hut is located. We continue up the Branch River to the Top Branch Hut, our campsite for the night.
Day 3: Head south- west to climb above the river to avoid a gorge, then enter Branch River. Ex it the valley via a rock scramble crossing into a tributory of Lees Creek j ust south of Point 1938. Follow Lees Creek and camp near the hut.
Day 4: An easy walk out along the Lees Creek Track.
