DESCRIPTION:Devil's thumb (1206m) is the prominant solo peak on the skyline to the nort
 h-east of the Mt Owen massif. This is a first for a club trip, however don'
 t be expecting views or a gentle climb as it will be untracked and steep wi
 th a wooded summit. Rather, the fun will be in the journey!  Confirmation o
 f the trip is dependent on where cattle are grazing (not my fear of cows!) 
 and so will be determined by landowner few days prior.  So will aim for Sat
