Speargrass Track is an attractive walk along the Speargrass Valley under beautiful native bush in Nelson Lakes National Park. We will park at Mt Ro bert car park and walk to Speargrass Hut for lunch. The track is estimated by DoC to take three hours (7kms) one way. There is nothing technical or st renuous but some sections are covered in tree roots, so it can be a bit tri cky underfoot for balance or slippery if wet. We may meet a bit of windfall damage along the way. The track is mostly flat except for one hill near th e car park.
We will meet at the Richmond Badminton Hall car park at 8 am. Car pooling to get to the meeting place may be possible.
