  the Golden Bay side of Takaka hill with good views down the Takaka Valley 
 and across to Barrons Flat. From the end of Waitui road (off Cobb Valley Rd
 ), there is a 4WD road to a saddle overlooking the Waitui stream from where
  a farm track (permission required) is followed which zig zags up the open
