Easter Tramp

Day 1: Start from Lewis Pass Highway,head up Doubtful river track, passing 2 huts on way to Phantom Flat - camp site.

Day 2:  Go over Amuri Pass - 993m, with nice alpine tops. Over old pack track to the Waiheke river [West Coast] to the Slaty Creek Hut.

Day 3  Down Waiheke river. to the Tutaekuri River, go up river to Tutaekuri Hut.

Day 4:  Could do a day trip to Mid Trent Hut. [Up theTrent River].

Day 5:  Head up Tutaekuri River to the Hope Pass - 931m. Camp up the upper Hope valley or stay at the Top Hope hut, hot spring near this hut.

Day 6:  Head out down the Hope river valley to Windy Point carpark, passing St Jacobs Hut and Hope Halfway Hut on way out to Highway.
