A variation of classic three passes route. Starting on the braided Waimakariri river and climbing Harman, Whiting and Browning passes and then heading north over Popes pass and Hunts ridge ending back on the main road west of Otira. We have allocated a window of 9 days to give us some wiggle room with the weather and given ourselves two days of travel time. This trip group size is limited to eight participants and requires a high level of fitness and experience. Check out route and some pics here.

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
