Description
Drive to the Baton Valley and follow the 4WD track to the Cowins Spur track. It's steep at first then eases up as we gain the main spur up tp the bushline at about 1300m. Depending on time we can continue on further or just enjoy the views before heading back down. All up about 1100m climb over 16km. If we have enough 4WDs we can ford the river at the road end and shave about 6 kms off the valley walk Map Series: NULL Agenda : Cowin Spur, Kahurangi National Park - 28 May 2019
