There are several options for completeing the Mole Tops Loop. One is to walk up Jameson Ridge or Mole Creek itself to Mole Saddle at the northern e nd. There is the option to stay at Mole Hut (4 bunks), camp nearby or conti nue up to the Tops via Mole Saddle. The other route is up Watson Creek, pos sibly camping below the Ridgeline at an old hut site, then up on to the Top s from the southern end. A key-swap cross-over is possible and would save t he long walk (~4km) between the two car parks.(Matakitaki Lodge or near the Dairy Farm) At least one night camped on the Tops is essential. The final plan will depend on numbers and the weather, but if clear, spectacular scen ery is assured.
