DESCRIPTION:Peter O has this idea and is happy to navigate: From Lewis Pass, via Ada Hu
 t, 3 Tarns Pass, Bob Hut, East Matakitaki Hut, then over d'Urville,Thompson
  and Waiau Passes to Blue Lake and out via Sabine Hut or out via Moss Pass 
 and d'Urville track. Probably use Rotoroa Watertaxi.We brainstormed a bit a
 t the trip planning meeting with Michele and Kath, looking at different opt
 ions and variations, possibly even 2 parties, allowing a fitter and an easi
 er/shorter version? We are open to suggestions if anybody wants to join the
  planning or has done parts of it.It will take around 7 days, plus rest/rai
 n days (?), requires a tent, a high level of fitness and off track experien
 ce.We will probably have to pay for transport to Lewis Pass and for the wat
 er taxi across Rotoroa (unless we do some sort of cross over).\nYou will ne
 ed to take the whole time off from Anniversary weekend to Waitangi, allowin
 g to use the best good weather window. That statual holiday combo gives us
