Day trip up Conical Hill.
We will take the Lookout Range Rou te which starts near Tadmor. Climb steadily through the native bush t o a ridge, then follow this along to Conical Hill, just above the bushline at 1202m, where we will be rewarded with good views across both sides of th e ridge (weather permitting), and interesting rock formations. The ro ute may be a bit rooty and muddy. Option to continue a bit further al ong the open ridge if time and conditions permit. Lunch at the top, a nd then return the way we came. Approx 6 hours return (approx 14km), approx 800m climb.
