This is a moderate, 4 to 5 hours return walk (6.7 km). The summit is 721 m (50m at the start). We start the walk in Havelock and go up communi ty tracks to the top of Mt Takorika, which overlooks Havelock and Pelorus S ound. Nice views from the top on a good day. It's an hour drive to Havelock from Nelson, we'll meet at the Cathedral Steps in Nelson. I've put the day down as Saturday, which leaves some flexibility to go Sunday instead if th e weather is better then.
