DESCRIPTION:This 6-7 day trip takes in the historic Kill Devil track as far as Anotoki
Forks before ascending onto the Douglas Range and looping back south to the
n traverse the Lockett Range to exit at the Cobb Dam. Vehicles will need to
left at both roadends so ideally this would suit a crossover trip if numbe
rs permit. Tents will be required to be carried and experience on multi-day
back country travel over rough terrain is a must as there are some biggish
ups and downs. If our number are small we will do a circuit simplifing tra
nsport by starting at the Cobb dam and taking the trap line to Lake Lockett
. From here its untracked as we climb up onto the tops, descend the ridge e
astwards and drop down a spur to Waingaro Forks Hut.\nSounds like something
