This 6-7 day trip takes in the historic Kill Devil track as far as Anoto ki Forks before ascending onto the Douglas Range and looping back south to then traverse the Lockett Range to exit at the Cobb Dam. Vehicles will need to left at both roadends so ideally this would suit a crossover trip if nu mbers permit. Tents will be required to be carried and experience on multi- day back country travel over rough terrain is a must as there are some bigg ish ups and downs. If our number are small we will do a circuit simplifing transport by starting at the Cobb dam and taking the trap line to Lake Lock ett. From here its untracked as we climb up onto the tops, descend the ridg e eastwards and drop down a spur to Waingaro Forks Hut.
