DESCRIPTION:This is a walk up to the Red Hills plateau above Red Hills Hut. We will tra
 vel to the car park (570M) for the Red Hills track on the Wairau Valley Hig
 hway. It tavels through a patch of beech forest before joing a 4WD track th
 at brings us to Red Hills Hut (900M). We will have morning tea here, then h
 ead up behind the hut through tussock to the broard Red Hills Plateau. We w
 ill seek out a trig point A4BF (1131M) then a slightly higher point at 1160
 M. We will walk in a NW direction across the plateau before dropping down t
 hrough tussock to the Red Hills Track and on to Red Hills Hut. There are no
  definate tracks from Red Hills hut and beyond, but I remember it being rel
 atively easy to walk through the Tussock - gaiters advisable.\n This event
