Good fitness req uired. It will be a longish day, up to 8 hours. The route from the Brook Va lley is around 20km and Wooded Peak is 1111m, so around 1000 metres of clim bing. Most of the route is on well formed track (the Coppermine trail) but the bit up to Wooded Peak is rough, scrambly and steep. All Trails describe s it as a 'hard' route. We will meet at the carpark at the end of the Brook Valley campground, just before the Brook Waimaramara Sanctuary (if we have a big group we will carpool from the Cathedral Steps in Nelson).
