DESCRIPTION:Let's explore the southern part of the west coast! Please contact me asap i
 f you want to join, either for parts or all of it. Some huts need advance b
 ooking. My timing avoids being at the very popular huts (Mt Brewster, Matak
 etake, Welcome Flat) on weekends, but it's school hols, so bookings should 
 be made asap.I ll be in CHCH, so i can offer a ride in my car from there. O
 therwise, we can meet in Haast (intercity bus connectcion) or somewhere aro
 und there. I m timimg this trip so that it gets to Westport Friday night, w
 here we can join Michele's denniston plateau tramp on 17th Jan!UPDATE: 3 OF
  US HAVE BOOKED THE MATAKETAKE HUT FOR THE 8TH JANUARY AND WELCOME FLATS FO
 R 12&amp;13. The MATAKETAKE hut is fully booked now. According to Doc Haast
 , who I talked to, camping is discouraged but allowed close to the hut. The
  same goes for Mt Brewster hut. Also, 3 of us have booked Welcome Flats Hut
 . Camping there is possible. Various people have booked for various parts. 
 Please contact me to arrange car pooling to/from CHCH, Haast, Westport and 
 Nelson. We will work out petrol cost sharing accordingly.Here's the plan, b
