Queens Birthday weekend.

Buckland Peaks is a fascinating area at the N end of the Paparoa Range in Westland. A steep ridge track through dense bush is rewarded by a newish hut at the bushline. A day trip from there takes you into a wonderland of rock formations with unique vegetation, tarns and views to the NE to nearby Westport and beyond.
